Spy photographers have managed to catch the redesigned 2018 Acura TLX without any camouflage.

The sedan was spied in Long Beach, California, while the Japanese automaker was doing official photo and video shoots, likely for promotional materials. As the next model in line to receive Acura’s new design language that first debuted on the 2017 MDX, you can see the 2018 Acura TLX will have slimmer jeweled headlights and the diamond pentagon grille, while the rear gets exhaust cutouts just like the MDX. More interestingly, one of the TLXes being shot on camera has a more aggressive front end, prominent round exhaust tips, and a subtle lip spoiler, suggesting that a performance-oriented model will join the lineup.

Another model being rumored to join the lineup is a TLX Hybrid, likely sporting a hybrid powertrain borrowed from the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid.

Look for more information on the 2018 Acura TLX before it goes on sale this fall. Given the timing of the photoshoot, there’s a good chance that the 2018 Acura TLX will debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show next month. If it doesn’t, look for it at the 2017 New York Auto Show.
